Design Week Kolding

KOLDING KOMMUNE

Pitch.

DWK er en inter­na­tio­nal design­be­gi­ven­hed, der fav­ner både bor­ge­re, gæster, desig­nin­ter­es­se­re­de og erhverv. Even­ten viser, hvad design er og kan bru­ges til.
Design er et grund­læg­gen­de nøg­le­be­greb i Kol­ding Kom­mu­nes vision ”Kol­ding – vi desig­ner livet”, og under Design Week Kol­ding vil der være mas­sivt fokus på lokalt, natio­nalt og inter­na­tio­nalt design – bl.a. i form af ople­vel­ser, udstil­lin­ger og wor­ks­hops, men lige­le­des på sel­ve design­pro­ces­sen og design som arbejdsmetode.

Pitch.

DWK is an inter­na­tio­nal design event that embra­ces the public as well as busi­ness. The event shows what design is and can be used.

Design is a fun­da­men­tal key con­cept in Kol­ding Muni­ci­pa­li­ty’s vision “Kol­ding – we design life”. Design Week Kol­ding will be heavily focu­sed on local, natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal design – inclu­ding in the form of expe­ri­en­ces, exhi­bi­tions and wor­ks­hops, but also in the design pro­cess and design as a wor­king method.

Melodi Grand Prix 2016

Pitch til det dan­ske Melo­di Grand Prix 2016. Bog­sta­ver­ne i Melo­di Grand Prix-log­o­ty­pen er klip­pet til kon­fet­ti – et ele­ment, som både fun­ge­rer til bre­a­ke­re, jak­ke­sæt og bagtæp­per. (Melo­di Grand Prix-log­o­et er lavet af DR Design).

Pitch for the Danish Euro­vi­sion Song Con­test 2016 (Melo­di Grand Prix). The let­ters in the Melo­di Grand Prix-log­o­ty­pe is cut into con­fet­ti — an ele­ment that fun­ctions well in tv-bre­a­kers, suits and back­dro­ps. (The Melo­di Grand Prix logo was made by DR Design).

DR Ligetil

DR Lige­til er DRs til­bud med nyhe­der til men­ne­sker, der har svært ved at læse. DR Design har i for­vej­en udvik­let en ræk­ke tekst­ba­se­re­de iko­ner, som DR bru­ger når et pro­gram til­by­der hjælp til syns- og hørehæmmede. 

I min løs­ning gri­ber jeg fat i DRs iko­ni­ske nyhed­s­ø­je, og gen­for­tol­ker det i et form­sprog hen­tet fra DRs hoved­skrift, ­DR Mono­li­ne. Såle­des fusio­ne­res DR ­Nyhe­ders auto­ritet med de i for­vej­en ­etab­le­re­de tilgængelighedsikoner.

CONCITO

CONCITO bety­der “jeg sæt­ter i bevæ­gel­se” på lat­in, og det er, hvad Dan­marks grøn­ne tæn­ket­ank ønsker at gøre på kli­ma­om­rå­det. Net­vær­ket består af godt 100 virk­som­he­der, for­ske­re, orga­ni­sa­tio­ner — per­so­ner som er før­en­de inden for deres felt, med stor viden om klimaet.

Sam­men med Pauli­ne Dras­bæk har jeg udsmyk­ket CON­CI­TOs møde­lo­ka­le med en leven­de, for­an­der­lig og har­monisk bag­væg, der under­støt­ter net­vær­kets vær­di­er og arbejdsfelt.

På bil­le­det nederst til høj­re ses uden­rigs­mi­ni­ster Mar­tin Lide­gaard og Chri­sti­an Peter Ibsen, direk­tør i CONCITO.

CONCITO means “to put in motion” in Lat­in, and that’s what the gre­en think tank intends to do on cli­ma­te chan­ge. The net­work con­sists of over 100 com­pa­nies, resear­chers, orga­niza­tions — peop­le who are lea­ders in their field, with gre­at know­led­ge of the climate.

Along with Pauli­ne Dras­bæk I have decora­ted the mee­ting room of CONCITO with a living, chan­ging and har­moni­ous back wall that sup­ports the net­wor­k’s valu­es and field of work.

In the pic­tu­re at the bot­tom right is Foreign Mini­ster Mar­tin Lide­gaard and Chri­sti­an Peter Ibsen, Director of CONCITO.

BestLite

Best­Li­te has been in con­ti­nuous pro­duction sin­ce 1930. Win­ston Chur­chill is num­be­red amongst its many famous users. The Best­Li­te design was con­cei­ved by Robert Dud­ley Best who was hig­hly influ­en­ced by the Bauhaus.

Eigh­ty years on, the Best­Li­te design stays clo­se to its indu­stri­al roots and true to its ori­gi­nal design. Best­Li­te is held in per­ma­nent col­lections at both the Victo­ria & Albert Muse­um and the Design Muse­um in Lon­don. Loved by archi­tects, desig­ners and design afi­cio­na­dos throught its 80-year history, today, Best­li­te enjoys glo­bal ico­nic sta­tus. (from Gubi.dk)

Arbej­der­be­væ­gel­sens Erhvervs­råd er en øko­no­misk-poli­tisk tæn­ket­ank og et sam­fund­s­ø­ko­no­misk ana­ly­se­in­sti­tut, der arbej­der for at frem­me den soci­a­le ret­fær­dig­hed i Danmark.

Arbej­der­be­væ­gel­sens Erhvervs­råd (The Eco­no­mic Coun­cil of the Labour Move­ment) is a Danish eco­no­mic poli­cy insti­tu­te and think-tank wor­king to pro­mo­te soci­al justi­ce in Denmark.

Ved at etab­le­re net­vær­ket Vækst i Gene­ra­tio­ner gik 11 dan­ske fami­lie­e­je­de virk­som­he­der sam­men om at sæt­te øget fokus på, hvor­dan de bidra­ger til dansk vækst. Sam­ti­dig ønsker de at kom­mu­ni­ke­re, hvil­ke udfor­drin­ger der er ved at gen­nem­fø­re et gene­ra­tions­skif­te i Danmark.

Net­vær­ket er star­tet af føl­gen­de 11 virk­som­he­der: AVK, Best­sel­ler, Dan­foss, ECCO, Foss, Hal­dor Top­søe, JYSK, Kirk Kapi­tal, Kirk­bi, Linad og Widex.

By establis­hing the net­work Vækst i Gene­ra­tio­ner 11 Danish family-owned busi­nes­ses joi­ned for­ces to put more focus on their con­tri­bu­tion to Danish growth. At the same time, they want to com­mu­ni­ca­te the chal­len­ges that asso­ci­a­ted with gene­ra­tio­nal chan­ge in Denmark.

The net­work is star­ted by the fol­lowing 11 com­pa­nies: AVK, Best­sel­ler, Dan­foss, ECCO, Foss, Hal­dor Top­soe, JYSK, Kirk Kapi­tal, Kirk­by, Linad and Widex.

Halv­de­len af det dan­ske red­nings­be­red­skab består af del­tids­an­sat­te – i alt cir­ka 4.500.
Rek­rut­te­rin­gen af del­tids­brand­mænd har desvær­re været dalen­de. Der­for gen­nem­før­te Bered­skabsstyrelsen en kampag­ne, der skul­le få fle­re til at mel­de sig.

Half of the Danish rescue ser­vi­ce con­sists of part-time employ­e­es — a total of approxi­ma­te­ly 4,500.
The recru­it­ment of part-time fire men have unfortu­na­te­ly been decli­ning. There­fo­re, DEMA con­ducted a campaign that would encou­ra­ge more peop­le to sign up.
